Chairperson

Gwen Gilmore with favourite horse Cruz. Gwen supports the committee by leading meetings, developing projects and backing up the various committee roles.

Head Coach and Deputy Chair

Hess Vertogen's role is to develop the rallies and events. Hess trains and competes in dressage and also runs a marketing business. She loves seeing our members and their horses develop in their riding journeys.

Treasurer

Elly Thomson. Another return to riding mum with a small person in preschool. Elly also supports her husbands business interests. Great to have you on board Elly!

Rider Rep

Hi, I’m Belinda. I co-ride Tango with my daughter Sophie and enjoy a bit of everything, as long as it’s fun. I love meeting people and being part of the club. My main talent is forgetting dressage tests and mildly embarrassing my horse!

Membership Secretary

Karin Newport with her 2 horses Vinnie and George. Outside of horses, Karin has a background in software development and business, and she looks forward to using those skills to support the club and its members.

Riding Club Representative

Hey, I'm Robyn. I'm one of the rider reps. I enjoy CTR's and hacking, I love a good campaway with friends and horses.

Hi, I’m Kirsten! I love getting out and about with my two girls, Dixie and Angel, and trying new things together—always up for a bit of fun and adventure!

Secretary

Hi there, WRC members. I am Diane Lintott, I am the new Club Secretary and am looking forward to enjoying horsey adventures with likeminded horse lovers. I have been in the club for just a year and have been impressed with the variety of activities on offer. I am pictured with my lovely 5yr old Gypsy Cob X Gypsy Divines Armani (Giorgi to her friends). I have started her myself having had her since a yearling. She is currently turned out for winter but I am looking forward to the Spring and a new season of adventures with the club. We need lots of mileage, especially under saddle. I have lived at Elmside Farm, Mt Grey Downs, Upper Sefton, since 1988 and look forward to riding with some of the locals I have since met through the club.

My name is Ann, and this is Lizzie, my beautiful Arabian horse. We loved competing in endurance until Lizzie was injured in 2025. These days, whenever we get the chance, we head away with friends and our horses to trek across beautiful stations and farmland. I never say no to a good riding adventure!

I’m pleased to support our riding club in the Health & Safety role, helping making our events safe & enjoyable.
