What an evening! Hard to recognise some riders who had scrubbed rather nicely and everyone bought a lovely friendly tone the event. Thanks everyone.
Formalities included Chairperson report, this time in pictures, Hess a super coach report and of course our lovely treasurer reports. The other part of the evening was the awarding of annual trophies – which is our focus here in this blog.
Thanks, John Woodrow for photos. Some treasures here.

Trophy for most improved rider. Sponsored by Pam Norton. Debra Woodrow.
You were nominated by Andrea Marsden. Andrea noted the following
I would like to nominate Deb for the trophy for Individual Achievement. For a rider of just 3 years, she has gained an enormous amount of knowledge by attending all of our rallies, asking for advice and being open to any help anyone has given her. In that time she has gone on to lead Hacknix rides and be a reliable safe chaperone for the nervous riders and horses. I have to commend her for her commitment to becoming a better rider
Bombardier Trophy for Individual Achievement. Sponsored by Leanne Walker. Kirsten Regos.
Kirsten you were nominated by the committee for achievement. You have only been with us for six months and have joined in the club activities with gusto and enthusiasm. Your particular achievement was having the top dressage score at Pegasus.
Best Attendance Trophy. Sponsored by the Whyte Family. Helen Bowler.
Helen your attendance at rallies this year has been exemplary. You attended 11 rallies this year. Not only have you contributed in this way to our WRC you supported the club in other ways with your team dressage Quest, presenting a cup for ribbon day and Pegasus Harris cup competition showing off your flying change.
Marsden Trophy for Sportsmanship. Winner – Carla Moore
Carla your contribution to the spirit and purpose of the WRC shine through your engagement with our club. You have modelled and demonstrated the qualities of sportsmanship as an excellent WRC member through quality of your engagement with people. You are always there when you can.
Best Turned Out Trophy. Winner – Becky Speed
Becky you are always immaculate. Sky’s tail and general turnout is an inspiration. Presentation isn’t just about the horse. Becky is matchy-matchy to the core. Your attention to detail is much admired throughout the club
Chairperson’s Choice. Winner – Jenny Rouse
Jenny you are a fountain of knowledge, skills and kindness in our equine world. Your speaker-dinner talk about Endurance and CTR inspired several to take up the sport. You have always been available when you can for the speedy hacknix. Your posts are thoughtful and respectful. Thanks Jenny.
