Waimakariri Riding Club (WRC) have their Pass Wide and Slow NZ event on Saturday 13th September.

 

If you want to come to our event registration and details are on our Waimakariri Riding Club public page (link here) or if you are a WRC member then in our Events page. Registration is a must please as you will be riding in a small group to suit you and your equine partners requirements.

Some key points

  • Members and non-members welcome 

  • Those on bikes and walking welcome

  • Please wear high viz.

  • Pass Wide and Slow (NZ) the facebook site has high viz vests available - get in early and get used to wearing them. ​

  • Details available in August but will include a range of smaller rides from a range of places to ensure visibility and safety.

Key points for Team Dressage Quest

  • 3 riders to a team.

  • 2 NZ Riding Club tests.

  • Each rider does one level. 

  • WRC members save on entry fees.

Key points for Freestyle Musicals

  • You can start with a walk trot option

  • Music will help develop rhythm for your riding

  • We have some help for you to develop your freestyle. For starters Andrea Marsden has provided some guidance. Watch this space for even more information.

South Island Teams Event returns to the South Island. A fun weekend supported and developed by the New Zealand Riding Club Waimakariri Riding Club are hosting 12 other teams from around the South Island. 

Key points

  • Teams of up to 6 riders with best 4 scores in each event counted

  • All events focus is on fun and enjoyment for horse and rider.

  • Jumps all include a pole on the ground. No extra points for jumping higher.... 

  • Competition rules and indication of events are here in the NZ Riding Clubs information page. There are a lot of pages to read here so only read the ones that apply to you.
