August Rally

What does a weather forecast that looks patchy, a clear weather outlook in West Eyreton or Eyrewell forest and a scheduled rally at Harrs Road mean? Well, the coaches turning up and half the riders making it! Special thanks to the club jackets for staying waterproof through that.

Yes, sometimes it was wet and showery. However, I did get a shot of the fine weather as well. I’ll swear it was nearly hail when I was riding Cruz for about 5 minutes but boy did I get some lovely, elevated trot through the water! Every rider I spoke to had smiles on their faces and could point to the progress they had made! How good was that.

Lots of new members turned up for a look and Jenny turned up in time to help me get on! I managed to organise a team dressage quest group yesterday. We even had enough people there to push out the lovely new van of Sharon Foor! A little adventure. Elly managed to sell the last of the meat raffles. Well done Becky Speed on winning that. You’ll have to come back home to eat your meat!

Even better, Jill bought her motorhome across to look, and ended up hostessing a small invasion for hospitality and lovely hot cuppa! We now know who makes amazing cakes and sausage rolls!

Thanks everyone for turning up with great ‘trooper’ attitude.
